End of Act 2 and WOAH is all i have 2 say!

HC!!! If Hedda and Brack don't have something going on, i think i should give up my ideas of being a decent mind/foreshadowing reader. 4 real! This lady is just a tad loose i think. In addition, is it creepy that i'm reading some kinky sexual stuff with the idea of "triangular arrangements" and such?? I'm thinking that probably was not the most couth thing 4 the time. Hedda becomes more and more ruthless with each act 2!!! really! the comment about "these eternal aunts" sounds like she's waiting 4 them 2 die and thinkin they lived 2 long! if that's not mean, idk what is! i do have to say that i connect with her comment on page 254 when she says, "Well, it's- these things come over me, just like that, suddenly. Ans I can't hold back. Oh, I don't know myself how to explain it." i feel like that a lot!!! i think i might have actually told Nic something very similar at one point in time. Any way, inside thoughts coming out usually isn't a very good thing, it gets u in trouble. i think Hedda might have somethin goin on with Lovborg too. She's a little 2 cozy with him and plays around 2 much not to be just slightly in love with him. and the way that she treats Thea kinda leads me 2 believe that 2. idk. we'll see. i was kinda surprized at that whole thing with the punch though. she knows Lovborg was an alcoholic n once an alcoholic always an alcoholic. y would she put him in that situation? is she just tryin 2 ruin the thing btwn Thea and Lovborg or what? no comprendo mes amis!! (yeah, ik i totally combined languages there.) idk, if i knew someone who cleaned themselves up i wouldn't b pushin them back 2 what they messed up their lives with, that just doesn't make sense, unless it really is just to see if she can control him, then i guess i get it, but it's still not 2 cool. the dialogue on the last pg of the act kinda makes me wonder what exactly she's doing with Tesman, it just doesn't make sense to me. so she admits that she doesn't really lone him, she admits he's basically going no where near the place she wants to b, but yet she married him AND she complains about it a lot! That does bring me to a final thought though, what on the flippin green earth is Tesman doing?!?!?! did he not have ANY other gf's besides Hedda? if he did, no wonder he didn't marry them, he couldn't take a hint, and he not, no wonder he was extatic when he hooked Hedda!! WHAT IS THIS GUY THINKING; TELLING A WOMAN SHE'S GETTING FAT?!?!?!?!?! She obviously has issues w/this idea (pregnancy? i think so, but still. it's an even worse idea to tell a pregnant woman she's getting fat, that's just mean.) but no, he can't take the hint, he just keeps going!!! SHUT UP ALREADY!!!! That's one instance in which i have 2 say, poor Hedda.

Hedda Gabbler Ideas

So, i am totally in love (yeah, not just luv, but LOVE) with this play so far!!! the problem is, being an IB Theatre 2 student, that means i totally wanna c this thing realized!!! like 4 real!!! someone in my crazy class has 2 do it 4 their independant project!!!!! it'd b gr8!!!! serious!!! and the best part, this is the FIRST (yeah, that big that i spelled it out) time i've EVER wanted to act!!! i 4 real wanna play Hedda!!! her character is really great. not in the "o, she's so nice way", but in the "wow, she's completely underhanded and ruthless!!!!" way! she actually reminds me a little of a girl in congress- any "senators" out there know who i mean?- i mean, in a not so great way. i don't really picture her like the playwright describes her though. i c Hedda being a tall red head with a turned up nose. she totally grew up a spoiled navy brat, her dad (in the realization in my mind) is an admiral who gives her everything she wants when he's home and yells at her mother for not doing so when he's not home. idk, that just seems to b the thing fer her to have grown up as, well, with the way she acts now. idk, i like it. the idea that this crazy, spoiled lady owns guns is GR8 2!!! like, she totally seems like the crazy lady who would shoot her husband for not doing what she wanted, or @ least rt now she does! dang, i gotta get back to reading!

TESTING TESTING- Is Anyone Out There?!

So I got the best story about IB students the other day. Here it is....

A friend was speaking with a military person the other day and he told her Eva's quote about war, "War is state sponsored terrorism." He laughed, the military lady looked at him very seriously and said, "This is a problem. We believe that high school students are all communist and we hope that they will grow out of it and grow up to be republicans."

This bothered me slightly, but the more I thought about the first part of the statement, the more I realized we might just have communist tendencies. I wonder if there are any communists in Hedda Gabler, Marxist Reading anyone?
