OK, so the difference is clear, and I'm not talking about the Clear Eyes commericals

OK, so after this weekend, i found the biggest difference between Lovborg and George. George is this kinda dossile, general nice guy who tends to think he's not good enough for Hedda. Lovborg is this kinda imposing, slightly obscene, and has the possibility of being "dangerous" and crazy. now, this isn't really something that should have evaded me in the 1st place, but apparently it did. Lovborg is the stereotypical "bad boy" with a good side and George is the good guy who wouldn't think of doing anything wrong- EVER!!!! as if that's not annoying enough, the idea that Hedda might have been something 4 Lovborg that she's not 4 George seems 2 completely escape George because he's 2 busy worshiping the gound she walks on. now, i don't think that it's proper to "handle" a woman, because a strong woman is a beautiful thing, and we all know that i am ne thin but dependant (i'm mad that you're prolly thinkin of that stupid song, just sing it, get it out- "I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-A-N-T do u know what that means?"), but Lovborg tends to know how to handle Hedda and she definately doesn't seem to mind at all. on the other hand, she seems annoyed that George does nothing but faun over her n do the "yes ma'am" bit most of the time. that can b the most annoying thing ever, n she seems 2 think so. idk if this was intentional on Ibsen's part, but i think it's definately noticeable. i find it funny that she handles Lovborg right back though, it's a mutually abusive relationship. i'm not really positive y this is such a revalation 2 me, but it hit me really hard this weekend (and idk y that is either). somethin 2 think about i guess...
